Visa簽證
Parts of the following content may be inapplicable during the pandemic. Please refer to the relevant regulations and procedures announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Immigration Agency.
Visitor Visa │ Resident Visa │ ARC
Students who have been accepted to ICLP can use the electronic copy of their admission letter to apply for a visitor visa or resident visa for the purpose of studying Chinese. Applications can be submitted to their nearest Taiwanese embassy, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, or Consulate/Representative agency. Decisions on visa issuance and the type of visa issued are made at the sole discretion of the reviewing embassy, representative office, or agency.

3. Entry:
The number of times the visa holder may enter Taiwan from the "Issue Date" to the "Enter Before" date (single or multiple times).
4. Duration of Stay:
usually 60 days or 90 days
Visitor visas with no "no extension" remarks may be extended (once or twice); the maximum duration of stay is 180 consecutive days.

1. Eligibility:
(1) Holder of a valid visitor Visa for studying Chinese.
(2) Has completed at least four months of study.
(3) Has completed registration and tuition payment for at least three more months at ICLP or any Chinese language program in Taiwan accredited by the Ministry of Education.

3. Entry:
The number of times the visa holder may enter Taiwan from the "Issue Date" to the "Enter Before" date (single or multiple times).
- Single Entry: The visa becomes invalid once the holder leaves Taiwan.
- Multiple Entry: The allowed duration of stay is renewed starting on the day of arrival every time the visa holder leaves and reenters Taiwan before their "Enter Before" date.

Extension
A visitor visa for studying Chinese is usually extendable once or twice depending on the duration of stay; the maximum duration of stay is 180 consecutive days. Students can apply for an extension within 15 days before their duration of stay expires.1. Where to apply:

Resident Visa
Applying for a resident visa
1. Eligibility:
(1) Holder of a valid visitor Visa for studying Chinese.
(2) Has completed at least four months of study.
(3) Has completed registration and tuition payment for at least three more months at ICLP or any Chinese language program in Taiwan accredited by the Ministry of Education.

ARC (Alien Resident Certificate)
Holders of resident visas should apply for an ARC within 15 days upon issuance of their resident visa or entering Taiwan.Applying for an ARC

Extension
