This course uses the textbook Legal Chinese published by Princeton University in the 90's. There are 15 units; each unit contains a legal news article, related law acts, and vocabulary. The news articles cover a wide range of topics from legal immigration, illegal immigration, smuggling, criminal and civil cases, business conflict and freedom of speech. To take this course, students must have a basic knowledge of both newspaper and classical Chinese.
