Application Deadlines
    Applications for the Academic Year Program must be received by the ICLP office on or before April 30th of the year of admission. Applications for the Summer Program must be received on or before March 31st of the year of admission. Late Applicants should contact the ICLP office directly for further inquiries. Please consult the CALENDAR section for specific dates of ICLP programs.  The ICLP Committee on Admissions and Awards will review all applications, and is responsible for admissions decisions.  Decisions are made on a rolling basis.
Continuing ICLP Students
Students who wish to continue their studies at ICLP after successfully completing at least three quarters of coursework do not need to  fill out a new application form. Continuing students should simply notify the ICLP office of their intention to continue studying so that ICLP can initiate the re-registration process.

 Please find enclosed the application package for the ICLP 2015-2016 Academic Year Program.  

 All required materials listed below should be mailed to the following address:

(2)    Application fee (non-refundable):  Please include a personal check, a bank check, or cash for US$100. Make the check payable to National Taiwan University.


  •   Note 1We regret that banks in Taiwan do not accept checks with even the slightest correction. Please check the following page for some unacceptable samples before mailing your check.
  •   Note 2Please put the “date” on the check in the order of “MM, DD, YYYY”.
  •   Note 3National Taiwan University accepts only greenbacks issued in and after 1997, and does not accept the series number that begins with “CB” or any foreign bank note with stains and marks.

(4)    Statement of Purpose: Describe briefly your personal, academic, and career plans.

(5)    Transcripts: Official records of all your collegiate work should accompany your application.

(6)   References: Two references are required. Complete the information in the first part of the reference report and send the form to the individual who will be providing your reference. These references may be written in English or in Chinese. Have your referee complete and sign the form and return it to you in a sealed envelope.  Each referee must also sign across the seal of the envelope. Referees may send the recommendation forms directly to us if they prefer to do so. We prefer the completed recommendations to be mailed to us together with your other application materials.  


All successful applicants will receive an admission packet from ICLP and will be given a placement test upon arrival.  Should you have any enquiry, please do not hesitate to contact us.
