Applicants should have a foundation in Chinese equivalent to at least one year of college-level training and be at least one of the following:
- a degree candidate at an accredited university or college
- a university or college degree holder
- a professional whose career requires use of Chinese

Applications for the Academic Year Program must be received by the ICLP office on or before April 30th of the year of admission. Applications for the Summer Program must be received on or before March 31st of the year of admission. Late Applicants should contact the ICLP office directly for further inquiries. Please consult the CALENDAR section for specific dates of ICLP programs. The ICLP Committee on Admissions and Awards will review all applications, and is responsible for admissions decisions. Applicants for the Academic Year Program are notified of admission status in early June of the year of admission. Applicants for the Summer Program are notified of admission in early May of the year of admission. |

Students who wish to continue their studies at ICLP after successfully completing at least three quarters of coursework do not need to fill out a new application form. Continuing students should simply notify the ICLP office of their intention to continue studying so that ICLP can initiate the re-registration process. |
